Intraoperative Foot Positioning During Percutaneous Calcaneal Fixation: A Technical Note

Percutaneous screw fixation is a good modality for operative management of extra-articular and some intra-articular fractures the calcaneum amenable to closed reduction. Tongue-type calcaneal with dislocated posterior facet are usually treated percutaneous fixation. When treating substantial soft tissue compromise, particularly open fractures, reduction techniques crucial. They also provide patients local or systemic contraindications therapeutic option. We describe intraoperative positioning foot using lithotomy stirrup during minimum manipulation C-arm consistent imaging.
